Grid Testbed is essential for researching the Grid middleware and Grid applications, in a sense that it shows the feasibility of Grid technology. The objective of the K*Grid testbed is to connect supercomputers and high-performance clusters in Korea with the advanced Grid technology.

K*Grid testbed is installed with Globus Toolkit 2.4 and MPICH-G2, OpenPBS and other experimental software components. On this testbed, emerging Grid technologies are tested and pilot Grid applications are being developed. It is an active participant of international computing Grid collaboration efforts, such as PRAGMA or IHPC. K*Grid testbed is opened to research collaborators in Korea and foreign countries.
